Delta Brown Krause

Delta Brown Krause, 72, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in a Fort Worth hospital.Graveside Service: 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 23 at Goshen Cemetery in Springtown. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Cowboys for Christ, P.O. Box 7557, Fort Worth, TX 76111.Delta was born in Springtown to the late A. D. and S. B. Hinkle Brown May 12, 1939. She and husband Stanley were married April 25, 1995 in Weatherford.She loved poetry, sewing and cooking. In 1997 and 1998 she won American Poet Awards for poetry she had written. Delta had three published books of poetry. Delta was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Jaclyn Deaver. Survivors: husband, Stanley Krause of Azle; daughter, Benita Deaver of Mineral Wells; son, Enoch Deaver of Fort Worth; stepdaughter, Pamela Posey and husband, Troy of Stanton; stepson, Paul Krause and wife, Kyra of Canyon; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Hall of Springtown; brother, Don Brown and wife, Barbara of Weatherford; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of loving family and friends.
