Bobby Earl Cummings

DENNIS -- Bobby Earl "Bob" Cummings, 70, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Friday at White's Chapel of Memories. Interment: Brock Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at White's Funeral Home. Bob was born May 8, 1941, son of the late Hoy and Vera Weldon Cummings in Tioga. He was a long time resident of Dennis. Bob was an oil field air compressor specialist and consultant. He was well known for his ability for dowsing, or "witching", for water, oil and gas. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Bob's greatest love was training horses; however, his family was the most important thing in his life. Bob and Patsy both loved the ocean and their favorite vacation was going to Port Aransas. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister. Bob is survived by spouse, Patsy Cummings of Dennis; sons, Mat Cummings and wife, Patricia of Brock, Kevin Harwell and wife, Tammy of Weatherford, Eric Harwell of Weatherford; daughter, Gena Brown and husband, Kenneth of Weatherford; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Oleta Billmier of Pilot Point, Louise Frasco of Florida; and many, many special friends and family members.
