George Thomas "papaw" Skaggs, 64, passed away Monday, December 19, 2011.Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Midway Baptist Church, 4110 E. Hwy 199, Reno.Interment: Jay Bird Cemetery.Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home, 401 N. Main St., Springtown. Tom was born April 12, 1947 to G.B. and Goldie Skaggs in Fort Worth. He honorably served his country in the USAF-B52-Bombers, 7th Bomb Wing 1966-1970. Tom retired from B.F. Goodrich formally Menasco. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Via Vonne Guthrie; brothers, Robert and Harry Young.Survivors: Wife, of 43 years LaJuan; daughter, Diana and Mike Bosch; son, Glenn Skaggs and Jessica all of Springtown; beloved grandsons, Cameron Bosch, Colby Bosch and Noah Skaggs; sister-in-law, Tommie Jo Young of Richardson; several nieces and nephews; and special thanks to the Midway Baptist Church family and to Dr Xiong with the Center for Cancer and chemo buddie, Janel Hollister.
