Paula Malaspina

Paula Malaspina, 63, of Willow Park, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011. 

Paula wished to have a private interment ceremony with family only.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. 

Paula was born in Lubbock June 10, 1948 and grew up in the Fort Worth area. She obtained her GED and moved to California where she met her husband, Rocky. Rocky and Paula were married July 23, 1977 and travelled within the United States and abroad before settling in Texas to raise their daughter. Paula worked in Internet technologies, however her true love was gardening. She enjoyed plants of all kinds, constantly researched new and ecofriendly forms of cultivation, and could always be found tending to her garden in her free time. 

Paula was preceded in death by her father, Hoyt Weaver; grandparents, Aaron and Edith Roper; and sister, Sharon Ballinger. 

Survivors: husband, Rocky of Willow Park; daughter, Stephanie of Austin; sister, Linda Holbrooks and mother, Atha Lucille Roper Rasnick, both of Edgewood, NM.
