Bill Phillips, 83, beloved husband,father, grandfather and friend passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011. Service: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 14 at White's Azle Chapel. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 P.M. Tuesday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Bill was born August 6, 1928 in Decatur to Walter L. and Willie A. Stevens Phillips. He was a 50 year resident of Azle. Bill was an avid rodeo fan, after being a rodeo cowboy for several years. He loved cattle and was a commissioned cattle buyer worldwide. Bill honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Norene Holt and Betty Gore. Survivors: wife of 58 years, Bonnie Phillips of Azle; son, Rick Phillips of Azle; daughter, Teresa Bagley and husband, Robert of Carthage; grandson, Casey Hart and wife, Carrie; granddaughter, Kinder DeLaO and husband, Erik all of Mexia; granddaughter, Michelle Phillps and great-granddaughter, Brynlee Nicole Phillips of Weatherford; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
