Betty Burgess Tucker, 82, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in Fort Worth.Service: 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Silver Creek United Methodist Church, 2200 Church Road, Azle, TX 76020. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Born August 25, 1929 in Silver Creek to the late Charley and Velma Burgess. She attended Azle High School and married James Lee Tucker, Sr. on November 19, 1946. She attended Brantley-Draughon business School. Betty was employed by Ryan Mortgage Company and was a member of the Silver Creek United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her family and a wonderful cook. Betty loved gardening and her grandchildren.Survivors: husband of 65 years, James "Jimmy" Lee Tucker, Sr. of Azle; children, Jim Tucker, Jr. of Azle, Jerry Tucker and wife, Mary of Saginaw, Janis Grimland of Clifton, Joyce Grimland and husband, John of Dublin; grandchildren, Carol Davis of Richland Hills, Bryan Grimland of Clifton, Lee Tucker of Saginaw, Jerik Grimland of Dublin, Elizabeth Grimland of New York,Jayla Puerta of Stephenville; great-grandchildren, Colby and Chandler Etheredge, Ayden Grimland, and Mikinzie Fitzhugh, Issac Puerta and Baby "Peanut" Tucker; brothers, Bob Burgess of Fort Worth and Jack Burgess of Azle; many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
