Janie Edna Hobbs

Janie Edna Hobbs, 75, passed away of natural causes at her home surrounded by her family and friends.Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at White's Azle Chapel. Interment: Springtown Cemetery.Edna was born October 4, 1936 in Jackson, Ga. to the late William Edward and Janie Bell Maddox. She devoted her time and energy to her family and friends, she touched the lives of many with her generosity. Edna enjoyed cooking and believed food and family was good for the soul. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Talmadge Lender Hobbs in 2003; daughters, Kim Winona Murr in 2002 and Karen Rene Ford in 2004.Survivors: children, Keith Hobbs of Alexandria, La., Kenny Hobbs of Elmora, Pa., Kelley Hobbs of San Diego, Calif., Krystal Shirley of Blooming Grove, Kristy Hulsey of Mobile, Ala., and Kirk Hobbs of Fort Worth; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brother, Marion Maddox of Jackson, Ga.; many nieces, nephews; and special friend, Lydia Lantz.
