San Juana Valtierra

San Juana Valtierra, 84, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at her home in Annetta North. Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Road, Weatherford. Interment: Millsap Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, with rosary recited at 7. San Juana Valtierra was born June 23, 1924, daughter of the late Tirzo and Maria Chavez Valtierra. She was a lifelong resident of the Weatherford area, where she attended school, as well as being a longtime member of St. Stephens Catholic Church. The Valtierra family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the Sisters of Our Lady of Victory for their prayers and support during this difficult time. San Juana was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors: Siblings, Jesse Valtierra and wife, Hope, of Weatherford, Guadalupe Valtierra and wife, Ruth, of Mineral Wells, Sister Adelaide Valtierra, OLV, of Fort Worth, Petra Cantu of Weatherford, Catarino Valtierra and wife, Eulalia, of Grand Prairie and Angel Valtierra of Weatherford; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
