Staff Sgt. Houston Mark Taylor, 25, was killed Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Afghanistan serving his country in the United States Army, 25th Infantry. Service: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 26 at The First United Methodist Church of Azle. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Sgt. Taylor was born July 29, 1986 to Shawn Taylor and Mary Cremean in Portsmith, Virginia. Sgt. Taylor attended Azle High School and married his high school sweetheart, Kelsey Rae Gilley in 2005. That same year he enlisted in the United States Army and trained at Fort Benning, Ga. He loved what he did and was a true warrior.
