Curtis Lee Waters

Curtis Lee Waters, 52, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011, while on vacation with family in Colorado.

 Funeral: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Willow Park Baptist Church, 129 S. Ranch House Road, Aledo.

 Interment: Annetta Cemetery. 

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the Waters family suggests consideration of donations in Curtis' memory to the Mia Waters Scholarship Fund, Weatherford National Bank, 101 N. Main St., Weatherford, Texas 76086. 

Curtis Lee Waters was born June 22, 1958, in Statesville, N.C., son of John and Lillie Duncan Waters. Curtis was the rock of our family. He devoted his life to his family. They were his purpose, his pleasure. He is in heaven holding Mia in his arms, forever. 

Curtis was preceded in death by his daughter, Mia Rose Waters, on April 17, 2007, and his father, John Waters. 

Survivors: Wife, Cindy Robbins Waters of Aledo; children, Jordan Hampton and wife, Marissa, Tyler Hampton, Riley Waters, June Waters, Seth Waters, and Katy Ruiz and husband, Moises; grandson, Reami Ruiz; mother, Lillie Waters and Malcolm Ballew of Ennis; brothers, Harold Waters and wife, Debbie, of Fort Worth, and children, Nathan, Nolan and Marcy Waters, and Terry Waters and wife, Lou Ann, of Aledo, and children, Jonathan and Julie Waters; a host of loving family and friends.
