Charles W. Wentworth, 84, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 in Bonham.Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at White's Funeral Home Chapel, 401 N. Main Street, SpringtownInterment: Rough Creek Cemetery, Granbury Charles was born June 27, 1926 in Glenrose, to the late Walter and Vergie Wentworth. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy in World War II. Charles was a long time resident of Springtown and was a retired United States Postal Service letter carrier. He loved country music, Texas sports teams, hunting and traveling. As a Free Mason, Charlie was a member of the Cook Peavy Lodge in Fort Worth.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Otto Wentworth.Survivors: Children, Brenda Wentworth, Charles (Chuck) Wentworth, Jr. and wife, Valerie, Walter Wentworth and wife, Marta and Tracey Ewing and husband, Larry; grandchildren, Clinton Wentworth, Clayton Wentworth, Ashley Hartwell, Stephanie Wentworth and Christopher Wentworth; great-grandchildren, Cora Wentworth and Corban Wentworth; sisters, Virginia Chapin, Lucille Denbleyker and Kate Prunty; and many other loved ones and friends.
