Ruby Hazel Segler Sims

Ruby Hazel Segler Sims, 92, passed away Friday, February 18 in an Azle nursing home. Graveside Service: 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 22 in Hopewell Cemetery, Bowie. Ruby was born September 17, 1918 in Dundee to William Henry and Nannie Belle Russell Segler, she was the oldest of five children. Ruby was a member of Grace Baptist Church, the Eagle Mountain Chapter of the American Revolution, and the Isaac Parker Chapter of US Daughters of the War of 1812. She was a past president of the Lake Worth Garden Club. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, William Wallace Sims; her parents; brothers, William Henry Segler,Jr. and Orval Merle Segler; and sisters, Lois Helen Segler Sustayta and Bettie Mae Segler Porter Parrett. Survivors: nieces, Deborah Porter Hinckley of Azle, Carol Porter Cornwell of Damascus, Ore., Diane Sustayta Keane of Dallas and Shirley Sustayta Quenga of Cabot, Ark.
