Harvey Lee Whitworth

Harvey Whitworth, 91, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010. Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at Memory Gardens of the Valley. Harvey Lee Whitworth was born January 30, 1919 the son of Sanford and Lester May Whitworth in Alderson, Okla. He was a long time resident of Denton. Harvey graduated from Denton High School and attended North Texas University. He married the former Melba Cleola Sparks in Denton on March 29, 1946. Mr. Whitworth retired from Denton State School in 1982. Harvey spent much time enjoying his farm in Millsap. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, hunting, fishing, and feeding the wild animals on the farm. Mr. Whitworth was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Agle Martin Whitworth. Survivors, wife, Melba Whitworth; and nieces, Betty Whitworth Oxford and Judy Whitworth Shelton.
