Orville Guy Carson

Guy Carson, 90, passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, surrounded by family in Weatherford. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Chapel, 401 N. Main St., Springtown. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Orville Guy Carson was born June 9, 1920, in Roff, Okla., son of the late Ira C. and Minnie Lee Allen Carson. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945. He married Nina Miller in Fort Worth on Dec. 10, 1946, and they began their life together. Guy made his career as a plumber of hydraulics with General Dynamics and retired after 40 years of dedicated service. Guy was a member of First United Methodist Church of Springtown. Guy was preceded in death by his son, Larry Carson; and parents. Survivors: Wife, Nina Carson of Springtown; daughters, Deborah Reavis and husband, Ralph, of Pocatello, Idaho and Rebecca Paddie of The Woodlands; daughter-in-law Nancy Carson of Palmer; grandchildren, Brett Carson and wife, Kim, and Rana Jones and husband, Ryan, Ricci Myers and husband, Larry, Geneva and John Paddie; great-grandson Crew Carson.
