Carl Michael Laxton

Mike Laxton, 63, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010, in Weatherford. 

Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.

 Burial: 1 p.m. Saturday in Andrews Cemetery, Andrews.

 Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. 

Carl Michael Laxton was born April 8, 1947, in Denison, son of Carl Eugene and Mary Wilda Pamplin Laxton. Mike was a 1965 graduate of Andrews High School and attended East Central University in Ada, Okla. 

He joined the Unites States Navy in 1966 and due to injuries sustained in South Vietnam, he retired in 1968. 

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Carl Eugene Laxton, in 1956; and sister, Mary Sue Woodward in 2007.

 Survivors: Mother, Mary Wilda Thomas of Weatherford; brother, Frank Starns and wife, Beverly, of Cloudcroft, N.M.; nieces, Kelly Strange of Florida, Lesley Singleton of New Mexico, and Karla Woods and Kerri Woodward of Arizona; nephew, Brock Starns of New Mexico; and a host of loving family.
