David McWhirter

David "Dave" McWhirter, 77, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010.

 Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Annis Chapel Cemetery. 

Dave was a farmer, truck driver, and formally worked for the State of Texas Highway Department and served in the United States Army Reserves. He had lived in the Springtown area for 25 years.

 Dave was preceded in death by his dad, George W. McWhirter; mother, Bernice Cunningham McWhirter; two brothers; one sister; and one great-grandson. 

Survivors: wife of 55 years, Mary Onnie Chandler McWhirter; children, Vada Lee Romero of Phoenix, AZ., David Willis McWhirter and wife, Delores of Anton, Onnie May Keeton and husband, Donnie of Springfield, Ark., Derwin (Wade) McWhirter of Hobart, OK.,Vicky (Zoe) Iglesias of Springtown; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one brother; and four sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
