Heidi Lynn Satchell

MINERAL WELLS -- Heidi Lynn Satchell, 47, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010, at her home in Mineral Wells. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Tuesday in Woodland Park Cemetery, 2600 Hwy 281 South, Mineral Wells. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home 101 N.E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells. Heidi Lynn Satchell was born Sept. 18, 1962, in Dallas, the third of three children to William Edward and Nora Etta Moore Satchell. She was a former resident of Garland and moved to Mineral Wells 15 years ago. Heidi graduated from North Garland High School in 1981 and North Texas State University in 1986. She was very active in the Mineral Wells community serving with Kiwanis International, the Mineral Wells Merchants Association, where she was a former president, and Boyce Ditto Public Library board. Heidi was very active with schools and their reading programs as well as the Retired Teachers Association. She loved life and was very good at helping people. Heidi loved to collect angels and elephants and loved animals. In May 1999, she opened The BOOKSATCHELL and had a book club every Thursday night. Heidi was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents. Survivors: Parents, Bill and Nora Satchell of Mineral Wells; sister, Susan Satchell of Mineral Wells; brother, William Edward "Skip" Satchell Jr. and wife, Belinda, of Allen; nephews, Alan Satchell and Joshua Satchell; niece, Elizabeth Satchell; aunt, Jeanette Langton of Enid, Okla.; and a host of loving family and friends.
