Mary Ann Darbishire, 83, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at her homein Azle.Memorial Service: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 15, 2010 at White's Azle Funeral Home. Mary Ann Darbishire was born Nov. 3, 1926, in Fort Monroe, Va., daughter of the late Floyd Emerson and Ruth Sugg Galloway. She was a resident of Azle for 25 years and Austin and Mexico City, Mexico, prior to that. A well-read and highly educated fan of the arts, sheplayed the piano and loved opera. Mary Ann could quote poetry and literature, sometimes line-by-line. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby W. Darbishire; granddaughter, Becky Carter; and her parents. Survivors: Daughters, Mary W. de Del Rosal and husband, Rolando, ofMexico City, Mexico, Patton E. Carter and husband, Richard, of NewHampshire, and Annie S. Germenis and husband, Paul, of Bastrop;grandchildren, Carlos Enrique Martinez Darbishire of New Zealand,Shelby M. Darbishire and wife, Alicia, of Fort Worth, Joel Carterand wife, Kelli, of Maryland, Abigail Carter of Providence, R.I.,Dorothy Carter of New Hampshire, Rachel Hostetler and husband,Joel, of Washington, Zechariah, Joshua, and Daniel Germenis, all ofBastrop; four great-grandchildren; sister, Patton Galloway of NorthCarolina; brother, Col. Floyd Emerson Galloway (USAF, Ret.) ofSanctuary; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving familyand friends.
