Bobby J. Cox, 72, a loving father, brother and grandfather, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in Azle. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, March 12 at White's Azle Funeral Home in Azle, TX. Mr Cox will have additional services: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday March 17, 2010 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, March 16 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Interment will follow the service in Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bobby was born April 15, 1937 in Fort Worth, Texas to Jake and Jewel Fortner Cox. He was retired from the United States Army, having served in the Search and Rescue Operations. His main hobby was gold prospecting, but he also loved to do cross country skiing. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 41 years, Marlene Cox in 2005; sisters, Patricia Salazar and Frances Thompson. Survivors: children, Angela Hubenschmid and husband, Horst of Engin, Germany, Roger Cox of Trinidad, Colorado and Tommy Cox of Killeen; grandchildren, Melanie Minge and Anna Hubenschmid both of Germany; siblings, Peggy Strain and husband, Roger of Paris, TX, Tommy Cox of Fort Worth, Sandra Raistrick and husband, Billy of Weatherford and Delita Moody of Weatherford.
