Johnny R. Woody, 84, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and brother, passed away after a brief illness Saturday night, March 6, 2010.Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at White's Funeral Home, 401 N. Main Street, Springtown.Interment: Springtown Cemetery.Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at White's Funeral Home, Springtown.Johnny Woody was born November 20, 1925 to John and Stella Woody in Veal Station. He was a lifelong resident of Springtown, serving on the Springtown School Board for 16 years and he was a Tri County Electric Co-op board member for 20 years. Johnny was an avid Springtown sports fan and he was a construction foreman for SRO for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Stella Woody; a brother, Lavoy Woody; and sisters, Mary Ruth Morrow and Rena Mae Robinson.Extreme appreciation is extended for loving caretakers, Lori Spivey, Lorretta Williams and Sarah Peel.Survivors: beloved wife of 66 years, Dacy Woody; daughter, Mary Jo Harms and husband, Melton of Springtown; sons, Gary Woody and wife, Raynese of McKinney, Jim Woody and wife, Rose of Cortez, Colorado and Bill Woody of Austin; grandchildren, Alicia Ellis and husband, Randy, Ronnie Harms and wife, Tara, Marlo Woody, Morgan Autrey and husband, Mike and Caitlyn Woody; great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Harms, Chase Harms, Cherie Ortega, Mandy Ellis, Lukas Ellis, Austin Autrey; great-great grandchild, Eliana Ortega; brothers, Norris Woody of Briar and Scott Woody of Poolville; and several nieces and nephews.
