ALEDO -- Marsha Ann Wharton, 70, a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010, at her home in Aledo. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday at her home in Aledo. Marsha was born July 28, 1939, in Weatherford. She was a teacher of many things over her lifetime. She had a degree in science and English and taught art for many years. Her passions were her children, family and art. The family would like to express its love and appreciation to all of the many friends and caregivers. Marsha was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Arnold Wharton; and father, James McDonald. Survivors: Beloved mother, Hotona Rister; sisters, Janie Watson and Judy Webb; brothers, James McDonald and Roger Rister; daughters, LaNetta McClellon and Deb Hays; son, Randy Wharton and wife, Debra; brothers-in-law, Virgil Wheeler and Willard Watson; grandchildren, Richard and Laura Wharton; John Bruce and Stephanie McClellon, Josh McClellon, LeeAnna McClellon, Wesley Wharton, Casey Wharton, Jodi Hays, and Dustin Radwan; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Wharton, Summer Stembridge, and Emily McClellon. Marsha was blessed with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and a large family including many others that called her "Mom" and loved her dearly.
