Stella Ruth Hughes

Stella Ruth Hughes, 88, passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at a local nursing home. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday in White's Springtown Chapel. Interment: New Hope Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home. Stella was born July 5, 1921, in Springtown to the late Luster E. and Mabel Coleman Wren Hall. She was a lifelong resident of Springtown. Stella was an avid quilter in her church quilting group. She loved gardening. Stella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Archie in 2003; granddaughter, Teresa; and five brothers and sisters. Survivors: Daughter, Patricia White and husband, Dean, of California; son, Larry Hughes of Springtown; sister, Ima Moreland and husband, Lester, of Springtown; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous friends and acquaintances.
