Irene Shearman

Irene Shearman, 70, went to her reward after an 11 year battle with cancer, Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, surrounded by family in Fort Worth. Irene Shearman was born Sept. 2, 1938 to Benny and Ruby Massey in San Angelo. As a wife, homemaker, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother, Irene was a blessing to her family. She loved her church home, First Baptist of Dennis, and particularly enjoyed fellowship with the ladies of her Sunday School Class. Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Sam Shearman; her parents; two sisters; and one brother. Survivors: children, Leonard Shearman and wife, Kathy of Azle, Cathy Shearman of Weatherford; Danny Shearman and wife, Lezlee of Dennis; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many friends.
