Memorials: Memorials in Judy's memory should be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Franklin Graham's Samaritans Purse. Judy was born Dec. 9, 1941, in Wichita Falls to R.D. "Dick" and Ruth Gill Cooksey. She graduated from Paschal High School in Fort Worth in 1959 and completed her education at the University of North Texas with a degree in elementary education. While at UNT, Judy met her husband, Louis B. "Burney" Robinson. They married June 9, 1962, and were happily married until her sweetheart passed away in 2007. Some of Judy's fondest memories while in college were of the friends she made while a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Her sorority sisters, as well as many other close friends, have been by her side throughout the years. After graduating and getting married, Judy and her husband spent their honeymoon years traveling Europe with Louis' job as international personnel director for Texas Instruments. Judy taught at American military bases. When Tisha was born, Judy and her family moved back to Texas, living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The twins, Brady and Eric, were born two years later and the family moved to Denison. The Robinson family called Denison home for the next 35 years. Judy loved children and always considered teaching her calling from the Lord. She was a teacher in Texas public schools for 30 years, retiring in 2001 at Terrell Elementary School in Denison. Judy was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and a true friend.
