Christopher Bryan Anderson

Christopher Bryan Anderson, 17, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009, surrounded by family at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church, 782 New Hope Road, Boyd. The Rev. Jim Edwards will officiate. Interment: New Hope Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the chapel of White's Funeral Home, 105 Denver Trail, Azle. Since the day of his birth, Oct. 15, 1991, Chris' heart and will helped him overcome adversity that would cripple most men. He refused to surrender his life to the disease that ravaged his body. Chris enjoyed music, hanging out with friends, and especially fishing with his dad. Chris will be missed by his mother and father who loved him dearly, and his sister who was always there for him. Chris lived, laughed and loved. A special thanks to the caring staff of Cook Children's Medical Center. Chris was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Jack and Mary Jean Elrod of Gladewater and R.C. Thompson of Marshall. Survivors: Parents, Kenneth and Louann Anderson of Azle; sister, Samantha Anderson of Azle; grandparents, Linda Davis of Marshall, June Anderson of Fort Worth, and Scott and Debbie Elrod of Gladewater; and many friends.
