James Lee Barham, 86, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Services: 1:00 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Weatherford. Interment: Laurel Land Cemetery. Visitation: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. James Barham was born October 8, 1922 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of John and Ollie Barham. He was a long time resident of Weatherford. Mr. Barham loved being a volunteer at the Senior Citizen's Center, his church and Weatherford Regional Hospital. He was active in the Gideons. Mr. Barham served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII. James was preceded in death by his parents; son, Paul; three brothers, and one sister. Survivors: wife of 62 years, Kathy Barham; sons, Mike Barham and wife, Wanda of Weatherford, Steve Barham and wife, Kathy of Fort Worth; daughter, Cheryl Ball and husband, Bert of Mineola; brother, William D. Barham and wife, Eloise of Sandia; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
