Roy Lee Snelling

WEATHERFORD -- Roy Snelling, 77, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009 in Weatherford. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral Home. Roy was born September 11, 1931, to Sidney and Lillian Snelling in Alice Texas. Roy retired after 31 years of service with Central Power and Light where he was a plant operator. He was a member of South Main Church of Christ in Weatherford. He was preceded in death by his Parents. Survivors: Wife, of 56 years, Viola Wade Snelling of Weatherford; daughter, Emily Carol and Husband, David Kessler of Sulpher Springs; Grand-daughters, Misty, Holly Kessler and Wendy Norton.
