Cascyle Bagwell

At the age of 89, Nellie Cascyle Thurston Bagwell, devoted wife, mother,grandmother and great-grandmother went home to her Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, May 13, 2009. 

Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens of the Valley Memorial Park, 5600 Mineral Wells Highway, Weatherford. 

Visitation:6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Avenue, Weatherford.

 Nellie was born Nov. 29, 1919, in Downsville, La., daughter of the late Humble and Erie Caulk Thurston. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and after moving to Holland Lake Nursing Center, she enjoyed the South Main Church of Christ ministries as well as listening to the many Bible studies on her radio. 

Cascyle was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dan Bagwell; eldest son, Tony Bagwell; daughter-in-law, Kyle Bagwell; grandson, Jimmy Godi; and her loving sister and brothers. 

The Bagwell family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Holland Lake Nursing Center of Weatherford and Alpha Omega Hospice for the loving care and compassion given to Mrs. Bagwell. Your devotion and kindness were truly a blessing to the entire family. The family would also like to gratefully acknowledge their church family at Harmony Baptist Church for their prayerful consideration and love.

Survivors: Sons, Mike Bagwell and wife, Debbie, Stan Bagwell, all of Weatherford, daughter-in-law, Laura Bagwell of Iowa, Marty Bagwell and wife, Kathy, of Mineral Wells; daughter-in-law, Sandie Bagwell of Weatherford; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Becky Parker and husband, Todd, Shelbi and Reed of Weatherford, Sean Bagwell, Alex and Evan of Weatherford, Warren Bagwell of Hurst, Micah Bagwell and wife, Leeann, Kennedie, Tatum and Bo of Iowa Park, Jaime Godi and Abby of Weatherford, Rachel Campbell and husband, David, of Edinburgh, Scotland. She is also survived by her loving sister, B Reade of Farmerville, La.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
