Dorothy K. "Dot" Davis, 79, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 at her residence in Azle. Service: 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 15th in White's Azle Chapel, 105 Denver Trail, Azle, TX 76020. Interment: 1:30 P.M. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemtery, Lane B. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Dorothy was born September 29, 1929 in Hendersonville, North Carolina to Frank and Mabel King. She had lived in the community for 38 years. Dorothy retired from the Corps of Engineers after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jacqueline King, Margie K. Sherrick and Vivian K. MacWhirter; and brother, Bobby King. Survivors: husband of 51 years, Charles Thurman Davis of Azle; nieces, Janice Luder of Wylie and Gayle Lee of Bedford; nephew, Steve MacWhirter of Lakeside.
