Elsie Lea Brooks Nealis

MINERAL WELLS -- Elsie Lea Nealis, 82, a native of Mineral Wells, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Prairie Sunset Nursing Center in Pretty Prairie, Kan. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home, 101 N.E. 4th Avenue, Mineral Wells. Burial: Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Elsie was a longtime member of Eleventh Avenue Church in Mineral Wells and loved to line-dance with the Silver Steppers. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, L.O. Nealis; parents, John and Leola Brooks; and a sister, Evelyn Morgan. Elsie is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Stevens of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Kylee Pedrosa and Clay Stevens; great-grandchildren, Austin and Gabi; sister, Bettye Hensley; nieces, Georgia Bounds, Debra Tate, Kelly Tate and Cindy Davis; nephews, David Tate and Mike Bonin; 11 grand-nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
