Floy Mae Welch,91, passed away Saturday, April 18 in a Lake Worth Nursing Facility. Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 21 in Springtown Cemetery where she was buried by her beloved husband, Byron Welch. Floy was born October 17, 1917 in Springtown. She lived her entire life in the Azle-Springtown area. Floy was a successful career woman, working for over 20 years at Azle State Bank as a loan officer and then as vice-president. After retiring from the bank she worked as a receptionist at White's Funeral Home in Springtown. Floy was a former member of First Baptist Church in Springtown and a member of Ash Creek Baptist Church in Azle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Turner and Minnie Betty;husband, Byron Welch; brother, Earl Betty and sister, Maxine Betty McKenzie. Survivors: nieces, Shirley Barker, Jeanie Bedford and husband, Aaron; nephews, Randall Betty and wife, Janet, Gerald Betty and wife, Julie and Ron McKenzie and wife, Nancy.
