Mae Correll

Mae L. Correll, 89, rose to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 16, 2009, at a local care facility.

 Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at White's Chapel of Memories, 130Houston Avenue, Weatherford.

 Burial: Memory Gardens of the Valley Memorial Park, 5600 Mineral Wells Highway, Weatherford. 

Ethel Mae Lowman Correll, the youngest of eleven children, was born Jan. 22, 1920, in Catawba County, N.C., to the late Will L. and Rosie L. Yancey Lowman. Mae had a very strong faith and read her Bible faithfully. She loved to tend her garden and flowers but most of all, her family was her life. Mae was a member of First Baptist Church of Weatherford.  

Mae was preceded in death by her husband, James Andrew Correll; daughter, Brenda Kay Correll; parents; nine brothers; and one sister.

 Survivors: Daughters, Peggy Beam and husband, Henry Carl "Bug" Beam Jr., of Wiggins, Miss., and Wanda Boyles and husband, Wade A., of Weatherford; grandsons, Scott Beam of Ocean Springs, Miss. and Curtis Beam of Biloxi, Miss.; granddaughters, Vonda Beam Martin and husband, Bill, of D'Iberville, Miss. and Teresa Kiser of Weatherford; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
