Josie L. Vinson went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2009 at her home inWeatherford. Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Lakeshore Drive Baptist Church, 200South Lakeshore Drive, Hudson Oaks.Interment: 1:30 p.m., Tuesday at Dallas-Ft. Worth NationalCemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at White's Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers the family request donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Josie was born to W.K. and Myrtis Ray Jones in Phoenix, Arizona May5, 1937 and was raised in Wood Lake, Calif. She married James T.Vinson Sep. 26, 1954. Josie had been a resident of the Ft.Worth/Weatherford area for 53 years. She earned her associatesdegree in psychology. Josie enjoyed reading, being active in herchurch, traveling the world with her husband, and being ahomemaker, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by herparents; stepmother, Katherine Jones; and brother, Allen Jones. Survivors: husband of 54 years, James T. Vinson; sons, David Vinsonand wife, Donna, Dale Vinson and wife, Niki; Dusty Vinson and wife, Julie;brother, Jerry Jones and wife, Francis; sister-in-law, MaeBerry; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerousnieces and nephews.
