Fred Dilbeck, 84, passed away Monday, March 9, 2009, at an Azle hospital.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday in New Hope Cemetery, New Hope Road, Parker County, next to New Hope Baptist Church.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 401 North Main St., Springtown
Fred Franklin Dilbeck was born Dec. 14, 1924, in Ranger, son of the late Price and Ann Dilbeck. He married the former Mary Alice Hall on March 8, 1947. They shared 49 years before her passing in October 1996. Fred made his career as a water well driller and spent many years as a Freemason.
He served in the United States Army Air Corps as a bomber pilot during World War II.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice; and his parents.
Survivors: Dear friend, Joe Esslinger and wife, Pam, of Springtown; nephews, Danny Dilbeck and Leon Ellis; and niece, Charlotte Davidson.
