Goldia Beatrice Compton, 92, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009.
Goldia was born May 10, 1916 in Evans Landing, IN the daughter of James and Cora Carroll. She was a long time resident of Springtown. Mrs. Compton was an avid reader of the Holy Scripture and enjoyed working in her yard. She loved her family and enjoyed the time she spent with them.
Goldia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Owen; one brother and a sister.
Survivors: Daughter, Mary Farrell and husband Alford of Springtown; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Funeral: 10:30 a.m, Friday at First Assembly of God Church in Springtown.
Interment: Springtown Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at White's Funeral Home in Springtown.
