James Monroe Boswell, 98, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 2, 2009. He was living in Austin, Texas. Prior to Austin, he had lived in Ft. Worth for 15 years. James was born August 4, 1910 in Archer City, Texas to Grover C.Boswell and Sallie Parker Boswell.He graduated from North Texas State University with a Master's Degree. James also attended Weatherford College, Sul Ross, and West Texas State, where he earned his Bachelor of Science. He served as a principal in Miami, Texas; a superintendent in Mobeetie, Texas; and a math instructor at Amarillo High from l947-1975. James retired in Amarillo, Texas after 45 years of education service. He was married to Frances Ruth Campbell Boswell of Seymour for 63 years. After her death in 1997, he married Betty F. Boswell in 1998 who died in August 2008.James was faithful to his Lord, serving as a deacon and Sunday school teacher in several baptist churches. Most recently, he was a member of Normandale Baptist Church in Ft. Worth. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.He is survived by his son, James Dan Boswell and his wife, Martha, of Austin, TX; two grandchildren, Andrew J. Boswell and his wife, Jeaness, of Temecula, CA, and Kimberly A. Boswell Myrick and her husband, Roger, of Beverly Hills, FL; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Boswell of Temecula, CA, and Alex Myrick of Beverly Hills, FL. James also leaves behind his two sisters Geniveve Boswell Moss and husband, Tommy, of Houston, TX, and Helen Boswell Frantz of Austin, TX.Memorials may be made to the Share Fund at Normandale Baptist Church, 2001 Chapel Creek Blvd., Ft.
