Nancy Pearl Erwin Sparks

Nancy Pearl Erwin Sparks, 85, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 in an Azle hospital. Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 21, 2009, one month before her 86th birthday, at the Rhome Church of Christ. Interment: Aurora Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be given to a charity of choice. Nancy was born February 21, 1923 in Rhome to Eva Jane and Tom Erwin. She graduated from Rhome High School in 1940. Nancy married James E. Sparks of Rhome on January 2, 1946. She worked for Montgomery Wards located on 7th Street for thirty years in the catalogue sales department as a supervisor. After retirement Nancy and James returned to Rhome where they have been members of the Rhome Church of Christ. Nancy and James enjoyed eight retirement years in Branson, Missouri where Nancy worked as an usher for the Shoji Tabuchi Show. Survivors: Nancy is survived by her loving husband of sixty three years, James; two daughters, Janie Sparks Marino Hansen and husband, Jens and Carol Sparks Kite and husband, Sam both of Fort Worth; and granddaughters, Kelly Ann Marino, Jennifer Kite Gillespie and Julie Kite.
