Robert Alfred Edward Mathews, Jr., 50, left us on Friday, January 2, 2009.As he crossed from this life into the next, he was met by his mother andis having a wonderful reunion celebration with her and other members ofour family who have gone before. Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 at White's Chapelof Memories in Weatherford. In lieu of usual remembrances the Mathews family request memorialsbe made in Robert's name to American Cancer Society, specificallyBrain Tumor Research. Robert was born June 13, 1958 in Weatherford. He graduatedWeatherford High School in 1976 and served in the US Marine Corpfor 4 years. Robert received his AA in Electronic Engineering fromDeVry. He also received certifications on many levels including PMPand MCSE. His love of life, learning, and adventure took him allover the world and included jobs from teaching scuba diving on acruise ship to Senior Program Manager of Citiglobal PMO withCitigroup. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, MaryMargaret Mathews who went to be with her Lord on December 3, 2008. He wasadored by grandchildren, Skylar, Jayden, and Joshua; nieces Mindy,Samantha, Nicole, Vanessa, and Mikaela; nephew, Jake; andgreat-nieces, Kiara and Chatira.
