R. Evelyn Steele Knight

Evelyn Knight, 86, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, at her home in Azle. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at White's Funeral Home, 105 Denver Trail, Azle. Burial: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Evelyn Steele Knight was born in Azle, Dec. 10, 1922, the daughter of the late Joseph Edward and Lillian Jewel Watson Steele. Ms. Knight was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Amos Knight in 1992; parents; and brother, Cyrus Steele. Survivors: Daughter, Novely Ann Turner and husband, Russell, of Azle; granddaughter, Anne Turner Wyatt and husband, John, of Virginia; grandson, Lee Turner and wife, Charlene, of Azle; and great-grandchildren, John and Emily Turner.
