Elsie Mae Diehnelt, 88, passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2008.Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Aledo United Methodist Church. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home.Elsie was born July 22, 1920 in Granada, Miss. She married Howard Diehnelt March 2, 1946. Elsie had been a member of Aledo United Methodist Church for 15 years after moving from San Antonio. Mrs. Diehnelt enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and needle point as well as butterflies. She worked as a clerk in the shipyard at Mobile, Alabama during WWII. Mrs. Diehnelt was especially proud of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Howard E. Diehnelt.Survivors: Sons, William Diehnelt and wife, Linda, of Aledo, and Greg Diehnelt of Georgetown; grandchildren, Chris Diehnelt of Phoenix, Ariz. and Douglas Diehnelt of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Alissa, Jackson and Haley Diehnelt.
