Dorothy Clair Gonsalves

Dorothy C. Gonsalves, 84, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 at her residence in Weatherford. Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 1 at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Mineral Wells. Interment to follow in Memory Gardens of the Valley Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Weatherford Funeral Home. Dorothy was born August 6, 1924 in Haslet, the daughter of the late Carl and Mabel Jewel McKee. She was a long time resident of Parker County. Dorothy married John Gonsalves May 7, 1949. She had a variety of interests including, performing her own home improvements, miniature donkeys, and Dorothy was a member of a gospel singing group. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and brothers, Henry, Bill, George and Red Mckee. Survivors include, daughters, Patricia Allen and husband, Donald of Weatherford, Teresa and husband, Pastor Larry Henson of New Mexico; grandson, Jason Allen and wife, Sandy; great-granddaughter, Makenzie; caregivers, sister Mary "Happy" McKee and niece Sherry McKee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
