Lonnie Ray Davis, 67, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008, at a Denton hospital. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Tuesday in East Greenwood Cemetery, Front Street and Mill Street, Weatherford. Lonnie Ray Davis was born July 4, 1941, in Weatherford, the son of the late Lonnie L. and Jewel Daniel Davis. He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army. Lonnie owned and operated a construction business for many years in Palmer. Lonnie was preceded in death by his daughter, Lonna Kay Davis, in 1964; and both parents. Survivors: Sons, Lonnie Ray Davis Jr. of Palmer and Jason Lee Davis and wife, Lorie of Midlothian; six grandchildren; twin sister, Virginia Morgan and husband, Robert of Weatherford; sister, Loreta Peyrot and husband, James of Gainesville; uncle, James Daniel and wife, Lenniejo of Weatherford; aunt, Mae Brown of Tennessee; and a host of loving friends.
