Bobby Joyce Ray

Bobby Joyce Ray, 80, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008 in Stephenville. Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at White's Chapel in Mineral Wells. Interment: Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at White's Funeral Home.Bobby Joyce was born January 23, 1928 to Louie and Alda Burks in Hamilton. She graduated from Comanche High School and went on to become an LVN. Bobby was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells and a member of Valley Group Baptist Church of Stephenville. She taught Sunday school for many years. Bobby was also a member of the Palo Pinto County Extension Service. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Terry Burks.Survivors: husband, Marshall Ray of Stephenville; son, Marshall Wayne Ray and wife, Charlotte of Fort Worth; daughter, Lou Alda Cardwell and husband, Phillip Allan of Aledo; grandchildren, Randall Joyce Shearman and husband, Richard, Bobbie Lynn Dotson and wife, Chris, and Phillip Ray Cardwell; great-granddaughter, Susan Elizabeth Dotson; brothers, Jerry and Donald Burks; sisters, Barbara Riddle and Teresa Stults.
