Laura Burton Phillips, 98, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008 in Weatherford. Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Poolville. Burial: Poolville Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at White's Funeral Home. Laura was born August 18, 1909 in Hawley to Harvey Lee and Rhoda Reeves Burton. She was a long time resident of Poolville. Laura was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poolville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, a step-son, Delano Phillips and two sisters. Survivors: son, Buddie Phillips and wife, Larane of Poolville; grandchildren, Rhonda, Melody, Deborah, Dana; daughter-in-law, Janelle Griffith and husband, Ralph of Lubbock; also eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
