Weldon M. Holcomb

Weldon M. Holcomb, 92, passed away Monday, April 7, 2008 in Fort Worth. Graveside Service: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in Centerpoint Cemetery.Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home.Weldon was born January 23, 1916 to Marion and Annie Mae Holcomb in Paradise. He had been a resident of Weatherford since 1955. Weldon married his wife, Lurra Lee in 1939. His hobbies included fishing and building furniture at his woodworking business. Weldon served his country in the United States Navy in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lurra Lee in 2006, parents, two sisters, Willie Mae and Ollie, and a brother, Carl.Survivors: son, Jerry Holcomb and wife, Teri of Mansfield,LA.; daughter, Lynnell Strauss of Weatherford; son, Jim Holcomb and wife, Linda; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Polly Anderson of Fort Worth; numerous nieces and nephews.
