Donald Ray Hobbs

Donald R. Hobbs, 63, a lifetime resident of Poolville, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2008, at his residence.Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Erwin Cemetery, Poolville. Visitation: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at White's Springtown Funeral Home, 401 North Main Street, Springtown.Donald R. Hobbs was born Feb. 28, 1945, in Poolville, the son of Allison C. and Minnie Marie Fuller Hobbs. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1963, served during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in July, 1967. Donald was a member of the Baptist church.Donald was preceded in death by his father in 1979; his mother in 2000; and brother, George D. Hobbs in 1993.Survivors: Sisters, Marie Bremmer of Spokane, Wash; Margie Bardwell of Poolville; Shirley Garcia of Beeville; and Louise Chapman of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
