Edna Ima Hightower Spivey

Edna Ima Hightower Spivey, 94, of Weatherford died Wednesday, March 25, 2008 in a local nursing facility. Service: 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 28 at White's Chapel of Memories. Burial: East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford. The family will recieve visitors from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at White's Funeral Home.Edna was born October 23, 1913 in Moline to Arl and Viola Reeder Hightower. On December 16, 1936 she married Claud E. Spivey, Sr. She was a former resident of Springtown, and has lived in Weatherford since 1963. Edna was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of the South Main Church of Christ.Edna was preceded in death by her parents, and in 1998, her husband, Claud E. Spivey, Sr. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Claud and Helen Spivey and Dean and Theresa Spivey, all of Weatherford; one daughter, and son-in-law, Bill and Marie Thoma of Garland; one brother and sister-in-law of Lometa, Arl and Beth Hightower; six grandchildren, Joe and Mary Thoma, Tonya and Cary VanLoh, Spencer and Diane Spivey, Melissa and Andy Brown, Traci and Chris Hibbetts, and Toby Spivey; and eight great-grandchildren, Olivia, Isabel, Taylor, Kylee, Preston, Parker, Zane and Vander.
