Edna Ima Hightower Spivey

Edna Ima Hightower Spivey, 94, of Weatherford died Wednesday, March 25, 2008 in a local nursing facility. 

Service: 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 28 at White's Chapel of Memories.

 Burial: East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford. 

The family will receieve visitors from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at White's Funeral Home. Edna was born October 23, 1913 in Moline to Arl and Viola Reeder Hightower. On December 16, 1936 she married Claud E. Spivey, Sr. She was a former resident of Springtown, and has lived in Weatherford since 1963. Edna was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of the South Main Church of Christ.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, and in 1998, her husband, Claud E. Spivey, Sr. 

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Claud and Helen Spivey and Dean and Theresa Spivey, all of Weatherford; one daughter, and son-in-law, Bill and Marie Thoma of Garland; one brother and sister-in-law of Lometa, Arl and Beth Hightower; six grandchildren, Joe and Mary Thoma, Tonya and Cary VanLoh, Spencer and Diane Spivey, Melissa and Andy Brown, Traci and Chris Hibbetts, and Toby Spivey; and eight great-grandchildren, Olivia, Isabel, Taylor, Kylee, Preston, Parker, Zane and Vander.
