Eugenia E. Lewis, 90, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, in Azle. Service: will be held out of state at a later date. Memorials: May be made in Eugenia's name to Vitas Hospice at 2501 Parkview Drive, Suite 600, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. She was born was born Sept. 18, 1917, at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio and the family moved to Washington, D.C. shortly after. Eugenia worked for St. Elizabeth's Hospital, the Naval Gun Factory and later with the General Services Administration, where she retired after 32 years of service. She moved to Texas in 2002 to be close to her son and family. Eugenia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Lewis, and her son, John D. Lewis. Blosse of Maryland; granddaughters, Barbara Stephens and husband, James, Deborah Shy and husband, Lan, Elizabeth Williams and husband, Mark, Jean Lowder and husband, Craig, Marie Alspaugh and husband, Bill; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one niece; and two nephews.
