John Jacob Davis

John Jacob "Jack" Davis, 77, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 in Azle.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Ash Creek Baptist Church. Jack was born July 24, 1930 to late Claude Emmet and Mary Alma Davis in Azle. He had been a longtime resident of Azle. He worked at General Dynamics, then moved to Colorado, where he lived for 30 years. Jack worked for Jefferson County, in Golden, Colorado and was later a land man. He moved back to Azle in 1992. He was a member of Ash Creek Baptist Church. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Alma Davis; wife, Dee Davis, daughter, Joy Carter, sisters, Mary Steele and Alta Mae Barrick.Survivors: daughter, Jan Johnson; stepsons, Rusty Hunt, David Hunt and Terry Hunt; brother, Ed Davis and wife, Nancy; sister, Doris Stewart; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
