Floy B. Snider Browder, 92, a lifetime resident of Parker County, passed away Monday, January 7, 2008 at a local nursing home.Floy B. Snider was born November 1, 1915 in Parker County, eighth of nine children born to the late Jim and Dovie (Abbott) Snider. She married Leo Browder in 1934. Floy and Leo were members of the Weatherford Organ Society and enjoyed RVing around the state with their many friends. Floy was an artist and member of the Weatherford Artist Association, receiving many awards for her work. She was an active member of North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford and sang in the church choir. Floy was also a practicing beautician into her late 70s. Floy was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Browder in 1997; parents; all sisters and brother; grandson, Dudley Shawn Prichard in 1994; and son-in-law, Charles M. Prichard in 1990.The family wishes to thank the staff of Santa Fe Health and Rehab for their love and care.Survivors include daughter, Retha B. Prichard of Santo; grandson, Leo Stacy Prichard and wife, Stephanie of Austin; granddaughters, Charla Walden of Weatherford and Rasa Edwards and husband, Kent of Santo. Also surviving are 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving family and friends. Funeral services are scheduled 1 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2008 at North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford. Burial will follow in East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. The family will receive guests 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
